I believe a painting needs to engage the viewer and be satisfying to the originator.

“I love painting Africa! Its wildlife, birds and sun-drenched landscape.” I have been doing this for over 40 years.

I have a graphic arts background and underlining all my work is an ability to draw well. Being a realist at heart my work always has a representative aspect to it.

I edit out the details and distil the scene into essential value patterns of light and dark, allowing the viewers imagination to  engage with the work.

At the end of the day, I believe my art to be an expression of my passion for life.
